CAUSE: Unintentional (unattended grill)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within a minute to find fire and smoke coming from the back of a duplex. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was controlled within 12 minutes and crews conducted salvage and overhaul. It was determined that a grill was being used and left unattended by the back of the home causing the fire to spread to the structure. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents. Firefighters from Stations 20, 23, 17, 18 and 30 responded to this incident.
