WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 9, 2024, at 7:40 a.m.
WHERE: 3800 block of Julius Ln. 77021.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $658,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $22,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from a 2-story house. A small fire was found on the inside of an exterior wall. A large tree had fallen across the power drop lines the previous day and appeared to have broken the ground wire. Crews conducted a primary search and opened the walls to fully extinguish the fire. They also cleared the debris and materials around the wall. 16 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 46 and 18.
