DAMAGE: $156,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Act of Nature (Lightning).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy brown smoke and fire coming from the roof of a 2-story home. They made an offensive attack and ensured everyone was safely out of the house. The fire was controlled in less than 20 minutes and crews conducted overhaul. A lightning strike to the roof appeared to have caused the fire. Firefighters from Stations 101, 102, 103, 64 and the Porter Fire Department responded to this incident.
