WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: May 16, 2024, at 11:42 p.m.
WHERE: 3700 block of Echo Mountain Dr. 77345.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $275,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $175,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the garage of a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and the garage doors were forced open. Conditions deteriorated and crews exited the home to make a defensive attack. Once the fire was controlled the roof was ventilated and firefighters returned to an offensive attack to fully extinguish the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 23, 102, 103 and the Porter Fire Department responded to this incident.
