WHAT: House fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $315,500 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $225,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Act of nature (lightning strike).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming through the roof of a 2-story house. They made an offensive attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The utilities were secured, and crews pulled the ceiling to access the attic. Lightning appeared to have struck the house at the peak, with fire in the attic and on the second-floor. Firefighters extinguished the fire and conducted salvage and overhaul. 31 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 34, 45, 64, 74, 84, 63, 56, 101 and 24.
