WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 4, 2024, at 10:15 a.m.
WHERE: 5600 block of N. Kashmere St. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $60,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 1-story house fully involved on fire. They made a defensive attack due to a roof collapse and unstable structural conditions. Once conditions improved, crews completed a primary search. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 41 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 34, 15, 45, 30, 39, 19, 30 and Rescue 42.
