WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 20, 2023, at 9:59 p.m.
WHERE: 3100 block of Crandon St. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a vacant 1-story house and fire coming from the eaves. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. A firefighter fainted and was transported to the hospital. 40 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 15, 19, 34, 12, 30, 39 and Rescue 42.
