WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: May 27, 2024, at 1:33 p.m.
WHERE: 1100 block of Rainy River Dr. 77088.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental, occurring near the A/C handler in the attic.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and secured the utilities. One resident was evaluated by HFD EMS on scene. The crews extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 4, 31, 58, 67, 74, 84, 67 and 30.
