WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: October 2, 2024, at 8 a.m.
WHERE: 2700 block of Sampson St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $80,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vacant house on fire. They controlled the fire on the exterior of the home and entered to finish extinguishing the fire. A primary search was also conducted. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 7, 23, 8, 18 and 25.
