WHEN: September 25, 2024, at 7:23 p.m.
WHERE: 3400 block of Simmons St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated property / content damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a vacant house. They made an attack on the fire and completed a primary search. The home was ventilated, and the fire was extinguished. CenterPoint was notified to secure the electricity and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 34 personnel responded to this incident including crews from Stations 18, 23, 8, 46, 7, 17, 25, 24 and 33.
