WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: March 26, 2024, at 2:02 a.m.
WHERE: 3400 block of Rosalie St. 77004.
INJURIES: One civilian treated on scene and transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find an abandoned house on fire and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed with no one found. One civilian was injured when attempting to escape the fire and was evaluated and transported to the hospital by HFD EMS. While making an interior attack, the heat conditions worsened, and crews exited the structure until it self-ventilated. Once they extinguished the fire, they requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 25, 23, 8, 46, 7, 18 and 24.
