WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 4, 2023 at 4:09 a.m.
WHERE: Live Oak St. at Francis St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire coming from a single-story abandoned house and made an offensive attack. Crews protected the nearby homes from the fire and secured the utilities. They attempted to ventilate the roof, however the fire broke through and self-ventilated. A primary search was completed with no one found. After the fire was fully controlled, a secondary search was also clear. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 31 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 25, 8, 7, 18 and 30.
