WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: October 13, 2022 at 4:45 p.m.
WHERE: 6600 block of New York St. 77021.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $85,500 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $55,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the home. Burglar bars were removed from the windows and a primary search was completed with no one found. The resident had self-evacuated prior to HFD’s arrival. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 23, 26, 46, 24, 25, 33 and 40 responded to this incident.
