WHAT: House fire.

WHERE: 6700 block of Madrid St. 77021.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $101,493 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $57,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical malfunction).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy fire and smoke coming from a house. They entered the home to make an offensive attack and ventilated the roof. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. CenterPoint arrived on scene and disconnected the power. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 40 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 33, 46, 23, 25, 35, 29 and Rescue 42.
