WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: April 23, 2025, at 4:18 p.m.
WHERE: 7200 block of Shady Corners Ln. 77040.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $110,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $110,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (candle).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a house and made an offensive attack. The utilities were controlled, and the roof was ventilated. Everyone was safely out of the home. Once the crews controlled and extinguished the fire it was determined that an unattended burning candle was the cause. 46 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 4, 2, 5, 13, 50, 66, 38, 77, 96, 30 and Heavy Rescue 11.
