WHAT: House Fire

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming from the back of a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack on a deck fire and entered the attic for check for extension. Smoke conditions increased and a fire emanated from a wall at the roof line. The crews exposed the siding and extinguished the fire. The home was ventilated, and a primary and secondary search were completed. The resident was cooking on the deck when embers fell and ignited the deck which spread to the house. Firefighters from Stations 15, 31, 6, 11 and 30 responded to this incident.
