WHERE: 14900 block of Nickerson Ln. 77060.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $102,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $80,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story house. They entered the home to extinguish the fire and conduct a primary search. The utilities were secured, and the structure was ventilated. A fire was found and extinguished in the attic and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 33 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 84, 31, 64, 58, 67, 74 and 34.
