WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: October 11, 2024, at 2:57 a.m.
WHERE: 2800 block of Jewel at 3100 block of Brackenridge St. 77026.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $201,300 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $110, 000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDTIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy fire coming from a 1-story house. A portion of the home collapse soon after their arrival. The roof was burned through and venting and crews made a defensive attack. Powerlines were down near the home as well and CenterPoint was notified. Once the fire was controlled, a complete primary search was conducted with no one found. Firefighters fully extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 12, 15, 19, 34, 17, 30 and 39.
