WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 6, 2023, at 6:56 a.m.
WHERE: 1600 block of Capron St. 77020.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation, appears to be accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find smoke coming from the attic of a vacant house. They conducted a primary search and quickly extinguished the fire, confining it to the attic space. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 27, 19, 9 and 8.
