WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 12, 2024, at 3:28 a.m.
WHERE: 6400 block of Hirondel St. 77087.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $85,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental due to an electrical fault in the attic area related to weather damage/power outages.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the roof of a house. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 23, 26, 46, 39, 35, 24 and Rehab 17.
