WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 12, 2024, at 3:58 p.m.
WHERE: 15800 block of Ridgerock Rd. 77489.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $280,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $70,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a 1-story house. They made entry to make an attack on the fire in the attic. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were controlled. Crews extinguished the fire which appeared to have originated from the fireplace/chimney being used by the resident. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 47, 15, 59, 68, 48, 80 and 24.
