WHERE: 3200 block of Ashton Park Dr. 77082.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $510,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from the roof of a 2-story house. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The roof was ventilated, and a fire was found and extinguished in the attic and roof area. The utilities were secured, and crews conducted salvage and overhaul. Firefighters from Stations 2, 68, 83, 75, 76, 78, 86, 69 and 57 responded to this incident.
