WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 19, 2023, at 7:59 a.m.
WHERE: 12400 block of Shadycrest Dr. 77082.
INJURIES: Three civilian injured and transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $461,600 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $35,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a house and extinguished a small residual fire no with extension. HFD EMS treated and transported two residents for smoke inhalation and a third resident for smoke inhalation and burns. They self-extricated prior to the HFDs arrival. The crews secured the utilities and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. 40 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 76, 23, 20, 26, 18, 25, 40, 24 and Rescue 42.
