WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: May 21, 2022 at 7:09 p.m.
WHERE: 8700 block of Tarbell, 77034
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $125,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $65,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story home and made an offensive attack. The roof was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. The fire had originated from the breaker box and spread to the attic of the home. Crews controlled the fire within 25 minutes and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause. Once the investigation was complete, firefighters covered the roof with plastic to protect against further damage from inclement weather. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. Crews from Stations 23, 26, 70, 29, 52, 61, 93, 29 and 30 responded to this incident.
