WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: March 9, 2023 at 12:55 p.m.
WHERE: 3600 block of Weaver Rd. 77093.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $86,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unitentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the roof and conducted a primary search. Crews extinguished the fire which appeared to have originated in the garage where an electrical short to an extension cord caused the fire which burned up the wall and into the attic space. Firefighters from Stations 15, 19, 34, 30, 39, 43, 56, 105, 24 and 57 responded to this incident.
