WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: June 13, 2024 at 5:05 a.m.
WHERE: 7300 block of Orlando St. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $230,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke from the roof of a house. They conducted a primary search and extinguished a smoldering fire in the wall and attic area. It appeared to be electrical in nature with several tripped breakers. The utilities were secured, and the residents were advised to leave the power off until it could be properly inspected and repaired. 20 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 34, 32 and 56.
