WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: August 11, 2023, at 3:17 p.m.
WHERE: 8500 block of Furray Rd. / Ley Rd. 77028.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $140,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 1-story house on fire. They made an offensive attack, ventilated the home, and extinguished the fire. A primary and secondary search were completed with no one found. The house was partially under construction and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 43 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 39, 15, 34, 45, 19, 20, 43, 18, 30, Rescue 42 and Rehab 17.
