WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 14, 2024, at 3:36 a.m.
WHERE: 1100 block of Fidelity St. at 300 block of Owens St. 77029.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $140,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $130,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE:Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the side of a 1-story house with a report of children trapped. They conducted a primary search with no one found. The children were safely out of the home. The crews switched to a defensive attack and extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 40 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 41, 27, 23, 20, 45, 42, 44 and 30.
