WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: May 26, 2024, at 9:25 a.m.
WHERE: 17100 block of Parsley Hawthorne Ct. 77059.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $466,775 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $175,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary, not arson (child playing with matches).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the roof of a 2-story house and found a fire on the second floor. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Additional HFD units were requested, and the roof was ventilated. The utilities were secured, and firefighters rotated until the fire was completely extinguished. One resident was evaluated on scene by HFD EMS. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 54 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 23, 70, 71, 52, 61, 72, 93, 94, 37, 24 and Rehab 17.
