WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: November 30, 2024, at 7:41 a.m.
WHERE: 15700 block of Heatherdale Dr. 77059.
INJURIES: One civilian rescued and transported to the hospital.
PROPERTY SAVED: $211,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $215,000 in estimated property damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. Crews were informed a citizen may still be inside and conducted a primary search. They found and removed the individual out of the home to waiting EMS crews who transported them to the hospital. A secondary search was completed with no other civilians found. Firefighters controlled and extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. The American Red Cross was notified and arrived on scene to assist the residents. 50 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 36, 23, 70, 71, 72, 93, 94, 37, 24, 33, Heavy Rescue 11 and Rescue 42.
