House Fire in The Central Northwest Area

WHERE: 6300 block of Autumn Arbor, 77092

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

PROPERTY SAVED: $254,000 in estimated property saved.

DAMAGE: $26,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story home and made an attack. A primary search was completed with no one found. A fire was found in the attic near the HVAC system and an additional crew was requested for extinguishment efforts. Once the fire was controlled, firefighters used a fan to ventilate the house. The home was vacant and being remodeled with HVAC work done earlier that day. Crews from Stations 4, 5, 13, 50 and 67 responded to this incident.
