WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 10, 2024, at 5:37 p.m.
WHERE: 6600 block of Briar Terrace Dr. 77072.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $211,200 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40, 000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the roof of a house and made an offensive attack. The utilities were secured, and the fire was quickly controlled and contained to the living room ceiling joist region. The living room ceiling had fallen in and exposure electrical wire had burned from the bottom of the roof up to the peak of the roof. 31 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 83, 60, 69, 76 and 83.
