WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 9, 2024, at 2:34 p.m.
WHERE: 6700 block of Bellaire Gardens Dr. 77072.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $192,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $28,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (candle).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a house. They conducted a primary search and controlled the fire. The home had no power and was unoccupied due to the storm. The crews checked the attic and garage for extension and fully extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 52 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 69, 15, 78, 83, 73, 75, 86, 76, 90, 60, 70, 57, Rescue 10 and Rehab 17.
