WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: April 9, 2024, at 4:23 a.m.
WHERE: 9900 block of Rolke Rd.
INJURIES: One firefighter was transported to the hospital for minor burns.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $500,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the roof of a house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed with no one found. Additional HFD units were requested, and crews rotated to fully control and extinguish the fire. CenterPoint was notified and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor burns. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 73, 2, 68, 83, 10, 51, 76, 82 and 57.
