WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 22, 2023, at 11:31 a.m.
WHERE: 1500 block of Fashion Hill Dr. 77088.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $110,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (heat source too close to combustibles).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find fire coming through the roof of a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. After cutting the garage door open, they pulled the ceiling and extinguished the fire. The crews checked for extension in the home and a neighboring house with none found. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 33 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 4, 34, 31, 58 and 67.
