WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 23, 2022 at 4:41 p.m.
WHERE: 7700 block of James Franklin St. 77088.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $105,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find light smoke coming from the roof and eaves of a 1-story house. They extinguished a small smoldering fire in the attic and pulled the ceiling to ensure it was completely out. The utilities were secure, and the resident was advised to have an electrician make repairs and inspect the home prior the turning the power back on. Crews from Stations 4, 67 and 30 responded to this incident.
