CAUSE: Act of Nature (lightning).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find the main electrical drop behind a motel/hotel, extending to the building’s roof. They extinguished the fire on the building and after CenterPoint cut electricity to the pole, used a dry chemical extinguisher to fully put the fire out on the busbar. They used water to cool it down with no extension found in the electrical room. Firefighters from Stations 90, 78, 83, 69, 75 and 57 responded to this incident.
