CAUSE: Unintentional (Cutting or welding too close).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story hotel. The occupants had already safely evacuated. Crews made an offensive attack and ventilated the roof. They extinguished the fire that was in the attic space over a stairwell breezeway. 48 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 7, 23, 8, 46, 6, 33 and 24.
