WHAT: Fourplex fire.
WHEN: July 29, 2023, at 11:41 p.m.
WHERE: 4207 Phlox St. 77051.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $1,138,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (incendiary).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find fire coming from the window of a small 1-story four-plex and made an offensive attack. A primary search was conducted with no one found. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. 30 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 21, 46, 47, 55 and 24.
