Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating five persons of interest wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 9700 Homestead Road about 1:10 a.m. on June 9.
All five persons of interest are described as black males in their mid to late 20s. Surveillance images of the suspects and a wanted, white-colored 2011-2012 Mazda CX-9 SUV are attached to this new release.
The victim is identified as Alberto Posada, 25.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. They learned that Mr. Posada’s vehicle had been chased by another vehicle and shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle as it arrived at the hospital. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Posada suffered at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to another area hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased on June 11.
Investigators determined the incident began as a verbal altercation at a gas station at 9700 Homestead Road and escalated into a road rage incident.
Further investigation identified five individuals as persons of interest.
