WHAT: Detached residential garage fire.
WHEN: May 17, 2024, at 3:40 a.m.
WHERE: 6400 block of Cindy Ln. 77008.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a detached residential garage. They made an offensive attack and found several trees down, including one that had fallen through the roof of the garage. The gas meter was found to be leaking and the Gas Company was requested. As crews made an attack on the fire, they pulled the ceiling of the breezeway to stop the spread to the home. A primary search was completed, and the fire was controlled and fully extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 6, 31, 11, 13, 38, 62 and 30.
