CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (unspecified electrical or malfunction in or around refrigerator components).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a fire in a detached garage behind a 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and checked the home for extension. No smoke or fire was found in the residence. The crews extinguished the fire and were told the owner was deceased and the house was for sale. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 25 personnel responded to this incident, with firefighters from Stations 12, 15, 31 and 9.
