WHAT: Detached Residential Garage Fire.
WHEN: July 10, 2022 at 5:45 p.m.
WHERE: 9800 block of Porto Rico, 77041
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $140,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Undetermined after investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a residential detached garage fully involved on fire and spreading to the nearby homes. They made an attack on the fire and protected the nearby exposures. A primary search was conducted with all occupants safely out of their homes. The crews extinguished the main body of fire and put out hotspots. Firefighters from Stations 66, 77, 4 and 62 responded to this incident.
