WHAT: Detached Residential Garage Fire

WHERE: 10100 block of Holly Springs Dr. 77042
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $70 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $30 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find light smoke coming from a detached residential garage. Once the crews extinguished the fire inside a wall caused by electrical arcing, they isolated the power to a circuit and completed overhaul. The homeowner was advised to have a licensed electrician fix and install new components and wiring before turning power back on to the circuit. Firefighters from Stations 69 and 60 responded to this incident.
