Condominium Fire in The Mid West Area

WHAT: Condominium fire.

WHEN: March 8, 2025, at 7:35 p.m.

WHERE: 6100 block of Beverly Hill St. 77057.

INJURIES: Deceased dog found.

PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.

DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (fire in the kitchen).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from a condominium and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and a deceased dog was found. The unit was ventilated, and the fire was extinguished. CenterPoint was requested to secure the utilities, and the American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 43 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 28, 68, 3, 51, 60, 49, 57 and Rescue 10.
