WHAT: Condominium fire.
WHEN: July 21, 2023, at 1:38 p.m.
WHERE: 80 block of Casa Grande Dr. 77060.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $300,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical) from air-conditioning unit.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find heavy smoke and fire coming from three condominiums. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Multiple supply lines were used to extinguish the fire and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. It was determined the fire originated from an air-conditioning unit. 41 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 15, 31, 64, 58, 67, 74, 43, 63, 54, 30 and Rehab 8.
