What: Building Fire in SE Houston

When: Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 4:49 p.m.

Where: 130 S. 75th St., Houston Texas  77011

Injuries: No injuries reported

Damage: Estimated $5000 in structural damage.

Cause: Cause of the fire was deemed unintentional.  The source was determined to be heat from the stove conducting over time eventually igniting the wooden studs in the wall.

 

HFD units arrive to light smoke showing from roof of 1 story, wood frame building. Firefighters opened up inside walls showing heat and found small fire behind the kitchen stove.  Fire was quickly extinguished.  Structure was checked for any fire extension.  Cause of the fire was determined to be heat from the stove conducting over time igniting the wooden studs in the wall.  No injuries were reported.  The fire was deemed under control and tapped out at 5:00 p.m.
