CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming from a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The crews found and extinguished a fire in the exterior wall, traveling through void spaces. The roof was ventilated, and the nearby units were checked for extension. The fire was determined to be electrical in origin. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 73, 2, 68, 83, 10, 51 and 31.
