WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: March 16, 2025, at 3:23 p.m.
WHERE: 1350 Witte Rd. 77055.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $490,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $25,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming form a 2-story apartment building. They made an attack on the fire and used a fan to ventilate the smoke from the structure. A primary search was completed, and the power was secured. Crews quickly controlled the fire located mostly on an exterior wall and exposed the charred areas to ensure the fire was completely extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 38, 15, 5, 78, 49, 57, 77 and Rescue 10.
