CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire in a second-floor apartment unit of a 2-story building. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The utilities were controlled and crews checked for extension into the attic. The fire was quickly controlled and extinguished with minimal extension and damage outside the unit of origin. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 53 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 4, 5, 78, 83, 49, 50, 69, 77, 38, 75, 57, and Hazmat 66.
